    Eurocommercial Properties celebrates 34-year anniversary

    Eurocommercial Properties N.V., one of 25 companies in the AmsterdamMidcap Index (AMX), celebrated its 34th anniversary with a traditional gong ceremony at Euronext Amsterdam today. 

    The commemorative event was attended by over 100 employees of the real estate company, from both domestic and international sources. 

    Evert Jan van Garderen, CEO of Eurocommercial Properties, had the honour of ringing the gong and opening a new trading day. TheGroup was warmly welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam, and Christine van den Bos, Listing Director at Euronext Amsterdam.

    Finance Run celebrates partnership with Florius

    The Finance Run is a sporty networking event for the financial world. Every year, more than 1,000 professionals from the financial sector participate in the run to raise money for the charities KiKid and Emma at Work. Euronext Amsterdam also takes part with a team in this special event. 

    As the main sponsor of the Finance Run, representatives from Florius opened the Amsterdam Stock Exchange this morning. The gong was struck by Danny van den Essenburg, accountmanager at Florius. 

    The Group was welcomed by Robert Bakker, Head of Issuer Services Operations and Maïté Hily-Houlès, HR Business Partner at Euronext Amsterdam.

    Triodos Bank lists on Euronext Amsterdam

    Triodos Bank listed on Euronext Amsterdam today. It is the 14th listing this year for the Euronext group. Founded in 1980, Triodos Bank has become a frontrunner in sustainable banking globally. 

    The company was listed through the admission to trading of its Depository Receipts (DRs). With this listing, Triodos Bank aims to make trading in Triodos Bank DRs more accessible for both existing and new investors. 

    Marcel Zuidam, CEO of Triodos Bank, and his team sounded the gong during a ceremony this morning to celebrate the listing of Triodos Bank. He was welcomed by René van Vlerken, CEO of Euronext Amsterdam.

Regulatory bodies

Euronext Amsterdam is governed by the Act on Financial Supervision of 28 September 2006. Operation of a regulated market in the Netherlands is subject to prior licence. This licence is granted to Euronext by the Dutch Minister of Finance. The AFM (Autoriteit Financiële Markten) and the Dutch National Bank act as the regulatory authority for members of Euronext Amsterdam.

The AFM:

  • Monitors the primary and secondary markets

  • Ensures compliance with market rules

  • Monitors clearing and settlement operations.
